A first version of “Taman Ingatan” (Garden of Memory) was made as a final pilgrimage to the house where I grew up for eighteen years. The work started from the question,” After a physical site that contains memory is gone, where does the memory linger?” In this work, I created my body into a “garden”, which comes from imagining memory as flowers living in the body like a garden; it blooms, it dies, and changes by how we take care of it.
