IF THERE WAS A CHANCE TO
(2020)
In this performance action, I embraced a dead wooden tree trunk on the seashore. As the waves repeatedly crashed and washed over my body, they brought movement to the stillness of the scene. Created during the pandemic, when many people experienced isolation and distance, this work reflects on the tension between natural forces and the human need for attachment. The relationship between the waves, my body, and the dead tree formed a moment of endurance and contact, echoing the emotional conditions many people lived through during that time.
